Be a responsible Pet owner...or Don't have pet at all!!!

How wrong was I when I thought that the people of Mainland China are the rudest of all towards animals. As we know they eat dogs, cats, or any other animals too. They said what ever has 4 legs except tables the Chinese people will eat it as part of daily joke. So when we moved here 3 years back, I was so happy to see that this city loves dogs and cats. There are dogs and cat every where in almost every house. But the joy ended there. From all the household that has pets, I wonder how many of them can be claimed as the RESPONSIBLE owner.

In this short stay in Sabah, Me, and my family has witnessed many cased of animal abused or cruelty. Raised your hand if you ever or often saw a dead dog body when you drive outside of town. In front of my house I saw one small puppy died because a car run over it. The other time one old dog has lost his eye and the owner didn't treat it until it becomes worst and lost it's life.

For some people dog is a dog , they treat them as "alarm", they take home a dog and expect it to wash it self, find their own food, heal it self and expect it not to have any " disposal" out from their body. Some think dog is cute but after a few month, they get bore with it and forget all over about the dog.

Let me tell you something, Dog is an animal, and like most of animal, it will produce certain smells, and yes it will poop, the bigger the breed the bigger is the poop, and it will need to be bath, and need to be feed, it will need to be treated if it got sick and yes it will need to be trained and will need to be walk twice a day. And NO! they are not just cute. And YES they will live generally for years. So if your children beg for dog, please buy TOYS if you think you can't handle another responsibility,

If you still want a pet , cat is much more easier to handle. It is much more independent. But if you just need something to bark at stranger in your house please invest on ALARM system instead.

Here, the most popular breeds I think is Rottweiler . This is a great and intelligent dogs, but like most intelligent dogs, they will need MORE stimulation, and MORE exercise . If your dog is caged 24/7 it will be very aggressive and once it has the chance to go out, the first thing they will do is attacking people . There are several cases of children died because of dog's attacked. And this is sad, of course they blame the dog, but there are no bad pet, but THEY ARE BAD OWNER! So before you decide to adopt or buy dogs , check the breeds, if it is suitable for your life style, will you have the time to bath and feed it? Don't just buy the dog because your 4 years old beg you to have a puppy.

And please, please
spaying or neutering your pet! This will make a BIG different, less stray dogs/cats mean less dogs/cats will be hit by cars. And to have pet mean you will have extra expenses to buy their food, vaccinate them ( to prevent spreading of unwanted disease.

Here is one useful article

Pet Care: Responsible Pet Ownership ( taken from www.spcakk.org)

  • Spaying or neutering your pet means that your pet's potential offspring won't contribute to the population of unwanted pets and prevent littering. A sterilized pet is much calmer and is no longer driven to roam in search of a mate. Spaying and neutering also reduces the risk of certain health problems, offering you more years with your beloved pet.

  • It won't cause much, but it will make a BIG different !!
  • It is cruel to leave your dog on a chain or in a cage 24/7. When you keep your dog continually chained and isolated, it often becomes anxious and aggressive. Studies show that chained dogs are much more likely to bite than unchained dogs. If you have visitors that aren't compatible with dogs, keep your dog in your securely fenced backyard or, if chained or caged for no more than three hours and make sure there is sufficient food, clean water and shade. Dogs need daily exercise and should have freedom to play in a fenced area or to be walked on a leash when taken outdoors.
  • This is very true, imagine if you are being caged for 24/7 , will you be crazy?? So don't do to your dog! Give it sometimes to run free ( with leash if needed) .

  • Clean water and adequate food provide important nutrients for a healthy life. It sounds obvious, but you'd be surprised how easy it is to forget to check your pet's water, clean her bowl and feed her twice a day.

Ticks and fleas are not only uncomfortable for your pets but can cause illnesses in pets. You must provide immediate relief for your pets. There are several specially formulated dog/cat flea and tick control shampoo and sprays available in pet stores, supermarkets and at veterinary clinics. If your pet is ill, take him to the vet right away.
  • Food and water are just the basic need. And Ticks and Fleas are common but doesn't mean you should do nothing for it. Check with your Veterinarian for a oral medicine to prevent heart worm disease , you just need to give it once every a few months to prevent ticks.

  • Children's attitudes towards animals can predict future behavior. Cruelty to animals is considered a symptom that predicts the development of a psychopath. People who hurt animals may eventually direct violence towards humans. They don't realize that it's wrong and they can't feel the distress that they are causing. Teaching kindness and respect for animals is the first step in teaching children empathy, something they can carry to adulthood.
  • I am totally agree. Respect animals , respect our Earth it is an attitude. If you have dogs/cats involve your children to take care of them. My children love to bath them and to feed them. It will also give them bonding time. And our dogs are very protective to our children. They won't allow other animals or dogs go near our girls or make them cries. I think this is one of the most amazing thing!

  • Pets can be a wonderful addition to any family. However, with ownership comes responsibility. Courtesy and respect are part of being a good neighbor. Put yourself in your neighbor's place to see how your pet's habits affect them. Even the friendliest neighbor may become angry when your dog or cat wanders onto their lawn and soils their yards. You must see to it that your dog does not injure innocent people. Another is making sure your pet doesn't disturb the peace by barking or howling at inappropriate times. It is important to realize that a dog which barks is attempting to communicate something, be it discomfort, loneliness, warning or deterrence.
I know that this is a very long shot. But one house at the time, and give a good example in your neighborhood, I hope the animal abuse will be reduce.

To smack or not to smack?

I've been raised by a quite strict parents in term of discipline but they are fair towards the 5 children. I had a bit of smacking in my butt during my childhood ( not toddlerhood even that I don't remember but my sibling and I do remember that our parents never hit a young child) , but only when I did a very bad thing or being unreasonable. But as far as I can remember, the smacking habits stopped when we all reached the age of 10 -11 or so.

And when my turn come to act as parent, I admit , I do sometimes to spanking on their thigh, or butt, or sometimes a little flick in their chin if they said something very rude. However I am not proud at this at all.

The first thing I notice when my dd start her pre K in Malaysia is that some of the teacher do spank the students ( in the palm). My first reaction was shocked. But after a while and after some observation and understanding towards the situation I can accept it. Reason : the teacher probably don't have time to reason for each kid , and they only spank after a repeating same mistake. And I know that it doesn't hurt ( they use a ruler and spank the palm lightly)

Then later on, I found out , that a 'rotan' or cane is a very common discipline tools in almost every household. I do have cane, but right this second I don't know where I keep it. Because last time I use that for the dog , since they fight quite often , the cane is something we use to distract them.

However , somehow, someway, this rotan thing can do wonder in discipline children. If I want something to threaten them , and I want a FAST result. Rotan is the key . I wouldn't really smack them, mostly I just hit it to the wall , or sometimes just holding it and show to them. So mainly it is my "threatening tools".

But , I notice..beside the fast result, the children WONT behave good in long term. So for my self : Rotan/cane is the INSTANT disciplinary tools, it will give you fast result ( because children are terrified by it)but will they repeat the same mistake again and again in (very) near future? My answer is YES.

It is up to us , how we gonna discipline our children according to your family lifestyle and your children characters. In Asia, children spanking is consider as a common practice but in some other countries there is thin line there between children spanking and child abuse.

My rude awakening about spanking from my almost 3 years old, after I spanked her thigh a couple months ago when she was behaving badly , she said in her tears: MAMMA IS BAD! Can not hit people!!....................

It was like a slap to my face, and it came out from a mouth of a toddler. I did tell her, she can't bit others, to her sister specially that she like to pinch, or her friends. She has showed a great development, she almost never hit or hurt her friends ( just her sister that she hurts from time to times). So when she hit her sister I would say : Maya is bad....we do not hit people, it hurts!
Looks like she remembered it and used my words against me!

So like on my last post : our children is our mirror. How can I tell her not to hit other while I am my self spank her?

This post is not intended to judge your parenting style or to tell that spanking children is wrong , but I do not support spanking or children ( as it can lead to children abuse in a certain level). This is purely for sharing and based on my personal opinion only. I did or do spank children occasionally and I am not to proud of that at a time. But I do believe spanking is not the best discipline tools out there.
If your children won't react to any other discipline alternative ( like distracting, negotiating, reasoning, time out etc) and if they ONLY react to the cane/rotan or smacking, maybe it's time to re-evaluate your discipline tactics . But remember other discipline tactics , most of the time, won't give you an instant result like smacking with rotan did.

Below is the article that I read . Enjoy..

5 WAYS TO DISCIPLINE CHILDREN WITHOUT SMACKING - BY MICHAEL GROSE
The issue of smacking as a discipline method has reared its head once more. Recently, Channel’s 9’s 60 Minutes showed a segment on smacking claiming that 3 in 4 Australian parents hit their kids to keep them in line.

As I have stated in my blog I am quite surprised by this high proportion of parents who still lay claim to using smacking as a discipline measure. Sure, there isn’t a parent around who hasn’t felt like smacking when they are on the receiving end of their children’s poor, challenging or uncooperative behaviour. We have all experienced such anger and frustration but to actually lay claim to smacking being a legitimate discipline tool is a very different thing.

My advice is to leave smacking out of your discipline toolkit. Smacking usually involves a lack of skill. Look for alternative skills that you can use. Practise the alternatives in low stress situations so that when you are under stress (when we are under stress we tend to revert to our lowest levels of skill), you will respond differently.

Here are five alternatives to use rather than smacking:

Avoid the first impulse: Often your first impulsive reaction will actually encourage a poor behaviour to continue. Do something different or out of left-field. Sometimes kids will behave poorly to test you out, to gain a little attention or just to show you that you can’t make them do anything they don’t want to do. When we respond impulsively we often reinforce their goals.

Take a break yourself: Sometimes it is better to leave a situation temporarily if you feel you are about to break. Make sure children are safe and take a break for a time to regain some perspective. Find a place in your house, such as the bathroom, where you can have some space or even go outside where children’s poor behaviour never seems as bad.

The thinking spot: There are times when children need to be given the opportunity to reflect on their poor behaviour. Every house needs a ‘thinking spot’, that is a place where children can go to think about what they have done and how their behaviour may affect others. The ‘thinking spot’ doesn’t have to be in a bedroom – it can be a chair or a step in a public space. The key is to establish ‘the thinking space’ concept when everyone is calm, not at the point of anger.

Consequential learning: When kids are less than perfect we need to move into action rather then verbal mode but the action doesn’t have to be a smack. Let kids experience the consequences of their actions so babies who kick their legs on the change table can be quickly removed rather than smacked. Toddlers who play jack-in-the-box in the bath can be taken out of the bath. Young children who refuse to clean away their toys can have them removed by the ‘silent maid’ for a day or two. Kids who throw tantrums will learn that their parents will disappear. Let consequences do their magic rather than physical force.

Ignore some of the poor stuff and catch them being good: Parenting young children is not dissimilar to training a young puppy where you need to ignore much of their poor behaviour while praising the good stuff. If you do ignore poor behaviour (and some of it you cannot ignore) then you really need to withdraw your attention and place it elsewhere. Then you must become really expert at catching kids doing the right thing and reflect back to them verbally (tell them what they have done well), visually (smile and let your face light up) and physically (a pat on the back or a hug will always amplify praise) what they have done well.

From my perspective those parents who rely on smacking usually lack the skills and tools to deal with children when their behaviour is less than perfect. The good part is that skills can easily be learned. Adults, like children, can learn new behaviours and skills to help them become better, more effective parents.

They are our mirror

Like all of parents , there is always some attitudes in our children that bother us. And that can be anything : they way they speak, the thing they don't eat , the thing they eat too much, their bad habits or their personal traits.

But have any of us be honest that some of that annoying habits are actually come from ourselves? It is either we "inherit" them or without realizing it, we give them the bad example .

I did realized that a few of my girls bad habits came from me. It is either the way I speak (I think in certain time I speak in certain tone, I didn't realize that the tone is not so nice to hear, but when I heard my girl said it, I feel like hmmm maybe I shouldn't speak like that ); the way I do things ( due to laziness , I do throw some dirty laundry from the staircase to the ground floor, I saw my dd2 did the same with the toys, and I keep a mental note to my self that I should't do that again) , or react to certain situation.( I screamed when I saw lizard , so what can I expect my children do when they see one?)

But NOT all bad behaviours come from us, some times the caretaker, teacher, friends, grandparents, uncle or aunts also will take part on their up bringing.
But again, as for me, for that part we can talk to let our children understand which one is good and which one is not good.

" Hitting other kids is not a good thing to do, so do not hit" but if the parents hit the children, what would the children think?
or " Eat your veggie but the parents do not eat theirs" who 's to blame ?

What will I expect from my girls based of my self ?
I won't be surprise if:
They listen to music out loud
Messy and not organized ( :p)
Like make up, shoes and bags
Ok so that are the negative (?) traits, I hope they will take my positive traits too !

So the fruits won't fall far from the tree indeed. But again some how some way, there are times we were wondering : Why do some of our children's traits are not from you or your husband at all? In my case : my dd1 loves to perform in singing or dancing, that is absolutely not me. That is my sister! And my niece is more shy and avoid to be the centre of attention ( unlike her mom , which is my sis of course) and my sis said : that is so you (me)!

So what can you tell when my 6 years old said she loves the song RING OF FIRE ( she can even sing the tune) and she also love NO BOUNDARIES? Plus she can follow the STARLIGHT AND SUPERMASSIVE BLACK HOLE's tunes by MUSE? Or my soon to be 3 years old can request Beyonce's I AM A SINGLE LADY song to be play on the PC so that she can dance to it?

Well I have no comment on that! :)

What is your children annoying habit/trait/behaviour that you think you be responsible for?

Adam's lips

For you those Adam's fans, this is a must see!
For non Adam's fans,please give it a pass... :)

This is interesting: Adam musical Therapy

Taken from here

This is very interesting : ( Pay attention in those bold and italic)

So if you’re in a funk, sick, or just need a boost, look no further than your playlists! Crank it up and feel the change happen inside your body.

On a final note, if you’re one who needs a whole lotta love because you were born to be wild, the benefits of music therapy for you are pretty black or white. In this mad world, you’ve just got to jump in that ring of fire and play that funky music. You’ll soon find that this slow ride means a change is gonna come and that you’ll soon stop cryin’, the tracks of your tears will be drying, and soon you’ll be feelin’ good. So, if I cant’ have you,
Adam, at least I have all your music to make me smile and feel good every day!

Daniel Levitin, Ph.D., professor of psychology and music at McGill University in Montreal and author of This Is Your Brain on Music (Dutton, 2006), whether you listen to it or play it, music has been shown to ease pain and anxiety. In addition, lower blood pressure, better sleep, and reduced pain can be achieved when music activates the brain’s pleasure centers.

Live chat, Twitters, new video .. Oh Man ( edited)

YAY! It was a great time, a great day, The live chat in on 4 EST ( so you do the couting what time I was awake to join in! ). It was estimated to have 8000 users online for that 30 mins of live chat session! WOW!
And then I heard that he is on Twitter , finally!YES!!!! So next mission is to find Robpatz real tweets? ( I doubt he will have it)

Another reason I keep on smiling is:

I 've received these, a total of 31 pcs good quality photos form the Finale!!! WHOA! I bid on Ebay for 20 pcs but I got 31 pcs ( the seller thrown it 11 extra for the delayed in shipping). When I opened it , I couldn't help not to blink my eyes and I think I forgot how to breath in and out)

And these are my favourite !

So here you go , the transcript of the live chat

Green fonts are my comments!

3:47 Victor Balta: Hi, everyone! Welcome to our live chat with Adam Lambert! We'll get started at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT, but go ahead and start submitting your questions/comments for Adam. We're expecting a bit crowd today, so please be patient as we try to get through as many questions as possible in our 30 minutes with Adam.
3:50 Moderator: Hi Everyone. We're looking forward to reading your questions and we're doing our best to get them answered. Please do NOT submit the same question more than once. It does not increase the likelihood of it getting asked and it creates a backlog. We will consider it spamming and we all know what happens to spam.
3:57 Victor Balta: You guys are firing off a mass of questions! Please be patient... we're trying to get through them as the moderator is working to find the best ones!
3:57 Victor Balta: Just a few more minutes...
4:04 Victor Balta:We're still waiting for Adam, folks... he's being pulled from tour rehearsals to do this chat, so please be patient.
4:06 [Comment From Cynthia]
Thanks Victor. Glamberts are not known for their patience, but we'll try :-)
4:06 Victor Balta: LOL
4:09 Victor Balta: Here we go.... welcome, Adam Lambert....
4:09 Adam Lambert: Hey, guys... thanks for coming online today! I'm so, so excited to be able to talk to you.
4:09 [Comment From Ace (ontdai)]
Adam, can you verify that your twitter is real?

4:09 [Comment From ontdai]
Are you therealglambert on Twitter?
Adam Lambert: It is TheRealGlambert... that is me... Finally I got a Twitter!
( AMEN!!Finally!!! YAY! at this point I was jumping on my seat litterally, but then I must be super quiet not to wake anybody up at 4 am )

4:10 [Comment From totl]
When asked about what it's like to see you perform live, Kris referred to you as "mind-blowing". How would you describe Kris?
4:10
Adam Lambert: Hmm... tranquil... and I'm trying to think of the right word... and heartfelt.

4:10 [Comment From Melanie]
Hi Adam! What was your favorite outfit that you wore during American
4:11
Adam Lambert: Haha... probably the outfit for... I loved the suit that I wore during Disco week. It's a Roberto Cavalli suit, and it's just wonderful.

4:11 [Comment From Judi]
I love your positive outlook and “attitude of gratitude” demeanor. Have you always lived your life with this outlook, or did it develop over time? What do you do for yourself to help you maintain such a positive outlook on life?
4:12
Adam Lambert: It kind of did develop over time. You grow older and you realize how lucky you are to be in certain situations based on your hindsight and perspective. And whenever I feelt myself slipping at all or getting into a negative headspace, I remind myself of people who don't have what they want or don't feel as free as I've felt of late. And that makes me feel how fortunate I am. ( ok so he is good looking, talented, and wise!! hmm in one word? PERFECT!)

4:12 [Comment From Catherine]
I know it's way early, but have you thought about what the name of your first album was going to be? Do you have any ideas yet?
4:12
Adam Lambert: It is a bit early. I'm fond of the idea of taking a line from a song that's going to be on the album and taking the title from that. But it's still early. We're just starting the writing process. It'll be provocative, nonetheless.

4:12 [Comment From Kelly]
How would you classify your music genre or is it a blend of many?
4:13
Adam Lambert: I think it's a blend of many. I don't think that I fit into one category, so I am inspired by many different kinds of music, so I hope to create, like, a fusion.

4:13 [Comment From Tonya from"ONE" fan group]
Adam, I would cut off my right arm just to meet you, will there be a meet and greet for fans on tour?
4:13
Adam Lambert: Hahaha... yeah, I believe so. I hope so. I think that after our performances, we'll definitely be signing autographs and seeing you guys and taking pictures. Because you guys are why we're here.
4:14 [Comment From Meg]
All the Glamberts are hoping you give them a shout out today on this comcast. Will you say hi to the Glamberts? They have been waiting anxiously all day. I know I am one of them. IveBeenAdamized Glambert.

4:14
Adam Lambert: Yo, yo Glamberts! I love the name and thank you all for the support. You're incredible. Thank you for the presents and the letters of support. ( ok , I almost melt in the real meaning now)

4:14 [Comment From GangstaGlambert]
Do you wear ALL the stuff Glamberts send you? I noticed you wear a lot of fan stuff that's pretty cool.

4:15
Adam Lambert: To be honest, I wear the stuff that I like! hahaha... sometimes stuff doesn't fit, sometimes the sizes are wrong, and sometimes it just doesn't go with my style. But I appreciate it all, and if I decide not to wear something, I usually give it to a friend or someone who will appreciate it, so it doesn't go to waste.
4:15 Adam Lambert: Also, it would be really cool if we could take the money spent on that stuff and donate it to charity. My closet's getting pretty full! I'm working on setting up a charity, so I'll Twitter about it very soon.

4:15 [Comment From courtneywaller]
a lot of people, myself included, consider you to be quite the sex symbol, how does that feel and how do you plan to keep yourself at the sex symbol status?

4:16
Adam Lambert: It feels really strange because I don't think of myself that way... I kind of have grown up with a slight ugly duckling kind of complex. In high school, I was overweight and awkward and didn't feel sexy. In the last couple of years, I've become comfortable in my own skin, and I do feel sexy now, but not the kind of sexy you see in a mirror, but it's more of an inside-out thing. And thank you for the compliment because it makes me feel really good!

4:16 [Comment From Debi F]
Hi Adam. Congrats on being named a "Sexiest bachelor"! Did you ever mess up a song while on Idol? Not that I noticed.

4:17
Adam Lambert: I hit some bunk notes, but I think I got all the lyrics right, I think. For the most part.

4:17 [Comment From kradisonfan]
Will you consider doing a video diary during the tour (as David Cook did last year), so your fans can see some behind-the-scenes things? (will be even more awesome if they involve Kris & Allison!)

4:18
Adam Lambert: Yeah, we've actually begun doing that. There's a video up already on my official web site, which is
adamofficial.com, and we're definitely going to be contributing more and more to that. Not only the tour, but the creation of the album and various activities I'm involved with right now.

4:18 [Comment From Tippidy]
Will you be performing Ring of Fire on the Idol tour?
4:18 [Comment From Cassidy]
Adam, are you going to be singing Mad World on tour?

4:18
Adam Lambert: I am performing "Mad World." I am not performing Ring of Fire.

4:18 [Comment From Allena]
hi adam!! do you think being a front runner throughout the whole competition hurt you in anyway??

4:18
Adam Lambert: Not at all. No, I really enjoyed people's support, and I think it helped.
4:18 Adam Lambert: It helped get me to the finals!

4:18 [Comment From MarielaLTB01]
Can you give us a line or two from a song you've written lately?

4:18
Adam Lambert: Hmmm... I actually am not allowed to! For legal purposes, but I wish I could!

4:19 [Comment From Amanda]
Adam, you're awesome and I can't wait for your album. Do you have any plans on doing any duets with any of the other idols on their or your album?
4:19 [Comment From Rachel]
Hey Adam! If you could do a duet with any singer, who would it be and why?

4:20
Adam Lambert: We do not have plans -- yet. But that's not to say it's not going to happen. it's all in discussion. Basically, we have to acquire a bunch of songs, then decide which songs make the album. So as we collect songs, we'll see where a duet would fit in. As far as performing with any other singers, I have a huge list, but I think Lady Gaga would be a blast to perform with. She's innovative and brave and really, really fresh.

4:20 [Comment From Glambert #3286]
On the AI site stylist Miles Siggins is quoted as saying “On occasion, we had to rein (Adam) in, plead, beg, whatever … to stop him from wearing something. And to his credit, and my relief, he usually listened!” What were some of the outfits they talked you out of?

4:21
Adam Lambert: There's actually only one. And it was just the idea that was really cool, but the actual execution just felt a little bit corny. But, for the most part, Miles and Art and I collaborated like a team and we had a great time putting outfits together.

4:21 [Comment From CoconutGhosts]
why did you decide to attach a butterfly to your pants on the rolling stone cover?

4:21
Adam Lambert: I did not do that, that was the stylist.

4:21 [Comment From littleblackdress]
What are the tour colors for your fans?

4:22
Adam Lambert: Blue and silver... and definitely a lot of black. And bring your black nail polish and your eyeliner, people! And just sprinkle glitter all over everything!( YES! be blue silver and sparkling !!!!)

4:22 [Comment From Paula]
Who taught you to do your own eyeliner?

4:22
Adam Lambert: I taught myself. I've been doing theater for years and you have to learn how to do stage makeup in your early days, so it's not that different.

4:22 [Comment From PLANETFIERCE]
Would you ever consider acting in films?

4:22
Adam Lambert: Yeah, that would be amazing. First goal is the record, maybe a music video, and touring and everything that comes with an album. Then we'll see what happens after that.

4:23 [Comment From Annie]
Hi Adam. I'm a big fan...Huge fan, actually. Do you ever feel like the media blew your "crush" on Kris out of proportion? You just said that the guy was cute. It's not like you're doodling his name on your notebook.

Adam Lambert: Yeah, I think that's kind of how the rpess works. They tend to sensationalize every little thing you say, and repeat it and repeat it. Sometimes, it's like the game of telephone... what you say gets exaggerated and changed. But I find it all very funny and I'm not upset by that at all. That's just the way it goes.

4:23 [Comment From Dragonfly]
Growing up, were you ever a crazy awe-struck fan of any artist?

4:24
Adam Lambert: I was always really into Madonna and Michael Jackson. I thought they were so original and inventive and bold.

Do you play any instruments, or have any hobbies we might not know about?

4:24 A
dam Lambert: I do not play any instruments... except my throat. I don't really have any hobbies that you guys wouldn't know about. If I can think of anything that will surprise you guys, I promise I'll let you know.(Expect his throat!! love that!)

4:24 [Comment From cassie]
does it bother you that everyone made your sexuality such a big deal?

4:25
Adam Lambert: It doesn't bother me. I'm sure that it's interesting to people, but I do think that we should focus more on the music, because ultimately my sexual preference really doesn't have anything to do with me as an entertainer.

4:25 [Comment From noskerdycat]
Adam, in several interviews you said you want to make music with an "electronic" sound. How will you keep that from overpowering your beautiful vocals?

4:26 Adam Lambert: The electronic element is mainly for the instrumentation, it has very little to do with the vocals. You can play an acoustic bass, an electric bass or a synth bass. It's all bass. It just has to do with the sonic aesthetic. The vocals will remain very true to the kind of vocals you heard on Idol, with added layers and harmonies. There'll be a lot more depth.

4:26 [Comment From Michelle T]
Hi, Adam. Watching you finally (at the age of 26 almost 27) gave me the kick in the backside that I needed to audition for Idol. Tomorrow is the big day. What one piece of advice could you pass on to me and all of the other hopefuls?

4:27 .Adam Lambert: I think that you really just got to make sure you're being true to yourself. You've got to be genuine and authentic. If you're putting on an act, people won't go for it. But at the same time, make sure that you're entertaining them. It's more than your singing voice. It's the way you look, the way you talk to them, the way you make eye contact. It's about the way you communicate the lyrics to the song.Think about more than just the voice

4:27 [Comment From Kiera]
What is your response to fans who are so upset because they feel you should have won, that they are saying they will never watch American Idol again.

4:28 Adam Lambert: Well, I mean, I think that Kris won because he got more votes, fair and square. It doesn't really make much of a difference as far as my career is concerned, if you're a fan of mine. I'm still on the Idol tour. I'm working on an album, set to release in the fall. That was yesterday, let's focus on tomorrow.
4:29 [Comment From LiLisa]
Hi Adam! I'm a huge fan of you. I enjoyed watching you on Idol this season. You always brought sooo much energy to the Idol stage and amazing performances. What was your favourite performance you did of the Season and why?

4:29 Adam Lambert: It's hard to name a favorite. I thought that they were all so different and really exciting to perform. I felt like Ring of Fire was really exciting because it was kind of shocking and different and unexpected. But I also had an amazing time performing Whole Lotta Love. I love that song and I love Led Zeppelin. To be able to perform a classic rock masterpiece like that on American Idol was very, very cool.
4:29 [Comment From Massie]
In an interview you said you didn't get along with one person, who was that?

Adam Lambert: I did say that? I'm not going to say, because that wouldn't be very nice.

What were your Wednesdays like could you ever take your mind off what the results would be?
4:30 Adam Lambert: I kind of just figured that if I worried about it too much it would just make myself crazy. So I kind of let go and went with the philosophy that whatever's going to happen is going to happen. The only thing I had control over was my performance. So, what will be will be. That kind of put my mind at ease.

4:31 [Comment From Jim Diamond]
What should people know about you that they don't?

4:31 Adam Lambert: Haha... I think everybody knows everything.

Adam, have you ever thought about publishing your pre-idol poetry?
4:31 Adam Lambert: No, but that's an interesting idea. Maybe I should consider it.

What is sexy for you?

Adam Lambert: Confidence, intelligence, and self-expression.And talent

4:32 [Comment From Lisa Smith]
Hi Adam: Your fans are dying to know what kind of cologne you wear! Please reveal! Thanks, & I love you with all my heart!!

4:32 Adam Lambert: Hahaha... I wear Dior Homme.
( uhm I will consider to buy it!)

4:32 [Comment From Pam]
Will you be doing any interviews for publications that are geared more toward children to share your story and message of encouragement to embrace their differences?

4:33 Adam Lambert: I have no plans to do that at this point. If the opportunity presents itself and it's appropriate, I will take it.

4:33 [Comment From Unicorn]
Will there be a giant dance number during the tour? Like disco night?

4:33 Adam Lambert: I don't think so. We're not dancing that much on tour.

4:33 [Comment From Sheryl]
Question for Adam: Besides using the steam room/humidifier, drinking lots of water and texting instead of talking, what other methods or rituals do you use to maintain your voice in tiptop condition?

4:33 Adam Lambert: Throat-coat tea and honey are really great.
4:33 [Comment From Cheri]
When will you be appearing on Ellen Degeneres show? Has a date been set? I don't want to miss it. 42 & loving you in Pittsburgh
4:34 Adam Lambert: A date has not been set. I know that both Ellen and myself really want to sit down and talk, so hopefully soon. Perhaps when I am promoting my album.

4:34 [Comment From Cassidy]
Adam, is it true that you met Madonna? How did you meet her?
4:34 Adam Lambert: I was introduced through a mutual friend and colleague, and it was crazy. She's one of my idols. We didn't get to speak for very long, she's very busy, but she was really connected and very present, and she had some great advice about this new-found notoriety.

4:35 [Comment From Melanie]
Adam, what was your favorite moment with the other idols, not shown on camera? I wish you much success and happiness, keep smiling!
4:35 Adam Lambert: I had some great talks about life with... I remember there was one night in particular after a performance night, where Kris, Lil, Anoop and I just kind of sat downstairs in the mansion and just talked about life, and I renjoyed that. I like discussions about things and sharing feelings about the way things are, and that was really memorable.

4:35 [Comment From Bowie22]
Are you in an exclusive relationship right now?
4:35 Adam Lambert: No. I am dating.

4:36 [Comment From hansley]
Whats the thing you regret the most in life?
4:36 Adam Lambert: I really don't have any regrets. I'm really, very, very satisfied with my life, and so far I've had a great journey and I have no regrets.

4:36 [Comment From Andres]
Do you feel dissapointed on the comments that the lead singer of Kiss made about you talking too much about your sexuality?
4:37 Adam Lambert: I disagree with him. I think that by him saying people don't care in America, I think he's grossly misinformed, because that's what everybody was talking about incessently. That's why I chose to talk about it, because it was all anybody was talking about. I also find it very hypocritical, considering that he talks about his sex life constantly.
4:37 Adam Lambert: But that's ok. I think he's a very talented guy and I love Kiss. ( Gene Simmons is just an old jealous man!)

4:37 [Comment From citizen_vain]
Astrology seems very important to you. How did you become interested in it?
4:38 Adam Lambert: I've always really just found it fascinating, and when I first started reading about my sing, which is aquarius, I felt it was pretty accurate. Then, when I did my chart to find my rising and moon signs, I thought it was extremely accurate. And the more I do about other people's charts, I also saw they were very accurate. But I know we're a product of our environment, so that has to do with it, as well. We also tend to reflect the company we keep. So it's a little bit of everything. ( Agree!! we are the products of environment!)

4:39 [Comment From Beth]
There are noticeable differences, mainly in melody, in some of your AI live and studio versions. Were the studio versions the way you originally intended to perform the songs on the show or were you making a conscious decision to present a distinct live version?
4:40 Adam Lambert: To be honest, a lot of the times when I sing, I have the basic melody that I rehearse with, then most of the time I just kind of improvise certain melody options and kind of go with whatever strikes me at the moment. I kind of like singing in a fly by the seat of your pants type of way. So when recording a studio version, we do multiple takes and I'll do it a bunch of different ways and the producers of the track pick what they like the best.

4:40 Victor Balta: Two more questions!
4:40 [Comment From Ace (ontdai)]
Adam, how did you first discover Glamrock, and specifically Velvet Goldmine?
4:41 Adam Lambert: Haha... I was aware of who David Bowie was. My father has his records and showed me some of the cover art and I was very intrigued by somebody in 70s rock that dressed the way he did. It was very cool and inventive. Then I discovered T Rex. I don't know how I found Velvet Goldmine, but once I saw it, I was obsessed with it. I thought it was a genius movie, both in plot and also, visually and musicially. In all elements it was just really cool.

4:41 [Comment From Kelly]
Are your parents shocked by your physical transformation over the years?
4:42 Adam Lambert: It's been pretty gradual, so it wasn't like an overnight thing. I think the first time I dyed my hair balck, my mom was, like, "Whoa! Really dramatic." But I've always been playing dress-up, so I don't think it was really much of a shock to them to see me experimenting with the way I look.
4:42 Adam Lambert: Thank you guys so much for chatting with me today. I'm so excited to perform for everybody live on tour this summer. Be sure you check it out. There's definitely some new music that was not on the show. And wait until you see my outfit. It rocks!
( Oh GREAT! he just made me want to see the tour EVEN MORE!!!!! help!)
4:42 Victor Balta: Thanks, Adam!
4:43 Victor Balta: Thank you all for coming. I hope you enjoyed our live chat, and we appreciate Adam staying a little extra time due to the late arrival!

Ready for more ! Love this : Every body has the right to love! And second video : there are some boyfriends ( and husbands) who is relief : ooh he likes dude? ok... hahahaha)

So for now, I will just wait for the Adam Lambert 's songs CD from the AI performances , and my Rolling Stone !!

Ironic

One of my favourite song, from the year I was graduated from high school , right before I entered my college ( I think, not sure, but I think this is from the year 1995?). By Alanis Morissette

"Ironic"

An old man turned ninety-eight
He won the lottery and died the next day
It's a black fly in your Chardonnay
It's a death row pardon two minutes too late
And isn't it ironic... don't you think

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
Who would've thought... it figures

Mr. Play It Safe was afraid to fly
He packed his suitcase and kissed his kids goodbye
He waited his whole damn life to take that flight
And as the plane crashed down he thought
"Well isn't this nice..."
And isn't it ironic... don't you think

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
Who would've thought... it figures

Well life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
When you think everything's okay and everything's going right
And life has a funny way of helping you out when
You think everything's gone wrong and everything blows up
In your face

A traffic jam when you're already late
A no-smoking sign on your cigarette break
It's like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife
It's meeting the man of my dreams
And then meeting his beautiful wife
And isn't it ironic...don't you think
A little too ironic...and, yeah, I really do think...

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
Who would've thought... it figures

Life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
Life has a funny, funny way of helping you out
Helping you out

For those of you who don't know, Peter has recently accepted a bet with a friend of his named Rob, from developement company 211me-Inc.com. Rob bet that Peter couldn't get 500,000 followers in a week. If Peter fails at reaching that goal by Midnight, Pacific time on June 19th, he will have to hand over the back of his Twilight director's chair, which he does not want to part with. However, if he can reach that goal, Rob has to dance down Hollywood Blvd, in a bikini, singing "All The Single Ladies' by Beyonce, while holding a sign saying "Twitter Me". The best part, Peter gets to video tape it and put it on YouTube for all the world to see! So, if you don't have a Twitter account, go make one and be sure to follow Peter. If you are already following him, you can tell your friends about the bet, and get them to tell their friends. We won't be able to do this without everyone's help. What I've learnt through our children

We as parents always think what should be teach , how to be a good role model to our children. But being parent is actually a learning stage as well. I become a better person or at least I am trying to improve my self, eat healthier , be more fun when I am around them, learning to love my self even more, and taking a good care about my self because I want to be healthy for them.

But what I've learn from them? What have my children taught me?

I've learn that they love is simply Unconditional. After many sessions of loosing my temper or yelled at them, they still come to me and hug me and said they love me. How many adults can do the same to you?

They will still smile at you and love you in your bad day, they don't care how you looked or how you smelled. For my children their mom is the most prettiest lady in the world ( I am not sure they will still think the same when they hit their teens but for now let me enjoy the "title" haha ) . Indiana thinks I have the most fashionable clothing ( hahaha how I wish! or shoes and bags). She 's keep saying that I look young and pretty but she wish I grow my hair long! :). She also said I am the best chef , that she wants to learn how to cook from me, or how to bake a cake.

And Maya thinks his father is the most intelligent man , because he can "fix" everything.
So basically they just adore the parents.

And then they are also very forgiving. With their peers, once they fight the next hour they are best friends again. Forgive and Forget. And that inspired me to do the same too.

I also learnt that no matter what , they always think about family and friends first. And My eldest daughter has show a large amount of patience and tolerance to others too, specially to me. I wish I can have the same amount of patience and tolerance .

I think the most flattering was when she said , she wants to be me when she is grown up. Running an Estore , Mia Bambina, that is famous ! LOL I wanted to laugh so bad, but I hold it. I just said my e-store is just a small one .But she said : No! everyone know that! My friends too! Ma , you are so good at this! I want to be like you, can you teach me?
:D What can I say to her? Of course I said : sure ! but you can do even better than me too you know!

One thing I remember, My eldest sister told me that during younger ages, children will adore their parents , then when they become bigger they will adore their Teacher ( other adults in their life), then in their pre-teens they will adore other famous person(s) or even friend(s) ( I want to be like my friends, dress like them, be one of them ) . So the parent's challenge is that how to make your children keep adoring you until their teenage /pre adult's life?

And I am always been very careful to make comments about others in front of my children. I try not to label people ( specially by race!), or to make them amazed by the size of someone's house, type of cars, brand of clothing/shoes, or appearances. That is , I must admit, not easy. But I don't want to raise a kid who is very snobbish and materialistic way to early for their age.

One short story that made me smile:
A couple months ago , we had gathering in my place,Indy couldn't remember all the aunties' names, So she wanted to tell me about a very good boy that came that day.But she forget his name, but I couldn't help to smile when I listen to her description of the boy's mom :
The boy's mom is the aunt who has a nice face that always smile ! And always speaks very nicely,ma! What is the aunty name?

LOL...So that is another thing that I learned from her, she can captured someone else' best featured, cant she? Not from hair, or body type, but she captured the "face that always smile".
Of course I can guess who is this nice aunty.

Have a nice week end you all!
