TAG: Proudest Moment

I got this from Sharine.
It is an easy question, but why it is hard for me to pick just one moment?
Not to mean that I have lots of proudest moment, It is just hard for me to choose that I want to blog it and share it :-)

So my proudest moment is:
When I know my parents are proud when they see Indiana's TV aircon advertisement in China CCTV channel. We were in Shanghai and My parents were in Jakarta. But they got the parabola antenna, so they can see the advertisement as well. And for the first whole week, my mom was in front on the tv all the time just to catch a glimpse of her youngest grand daughter's ( at that time)"act" in front of camera !
I was proud not because Indy was on TV but , I mean of course I am proud, which parent doesn't when their own kid were on TV? But I am more proud to see my parents are so proud at my children than at me..
does this make any sense? :-D

Selling the "house", bringing the "home"

Last October we must went back to China, Guangzhou to be exact.
My hubby last job was there. And we bought a house there too. Well ,actually it is a apartment in the ground floor. The compound name is Huanan Country Garden in Panyu area.

When my husband decided to move to Malaysia, we still haven't got the time to settle the house for rent . So to cut the story short, we went back to Guangzhou to settle the house loan payment , to do a bit of maintainance . We just went there for 9 days. And never thought that we gonna sell the house .

But God has different plan for us. We might said it is a blessing and miracle. :)
We sold the house! So the days there were so chaotic, I must juggled between lawyers meetings, arrange time to met old friends, another lawyer meetings, document signing, house viewing , shopping, dinner invitations. To topped it all......the lawyer meeting was all in Mandarin, and I must translate everything to my hubby , and I must translate what my hubby said to the lawyer.
I don't know why....I think my DH just want to torture me even more, during a serious conversation he always talked to me in Italian! So I must listen to him speaking in Italian and then translate it to the lawyer in Chinese......
And remember...my Mandarin and Italian level is not that "good" .
We bring our maid this time, at least she can help me to look after Maya.

We did not sell the house in high price but we are more than please to sold it. At least we don't need to worry about the house anymore.

So to compensate with the "STRESS" and the translation dilemma , I enjoy to EAT .
We went to our favorite restaurant over there, and EAT and EAT! :)
And ...of course I gain 1-2 kg after this trip. But ..hey...I think I deserved it! LOL

So if people asked am I sad to sell the house. Well it is yes and no.
We have sold the house but we bringing the "home" with us.

Doulos

I love books. So when I heard from Miranda that there is a floating book shop called MV Doulos will be in KK for a few days before it will sail again, my reaction was : I must go !
Lucky that I still got the chance to go one time to Doulos, just before I will go to China . I would prefer , of course, If I can go 2 times so I can buy more books. :)

So I took Indy together with me. I think this can be the chance of a life time to be in Doulos. Miranda picked me at my place and then we went straight a head to the floating book shop.

The selection of the books is HUGE. And the crowd was also HUGE. The price is very reasonable.
I don't know where to start, or what to choose, I feel like I want to buy everything!

At the end I took a couple of books for me: guide for e-commerce , homemade remedy, baby sleep book, and recipe books for my hubby. And Indy also took children bible , prayer book, Noah's ark, stickers, a cross to be hang in her bed room and a few other books for Maya.

The big drama of the day was: Indy broke her slipper, so we must tied it with rubber band, and she must walk slowly all the way to the parking lot , about 500 m. So from there we go to Karamungsing Komplex to buy her a new slipper and we had our lunch there .

Over all,I Love it. I wish I can still go to Doulos someday.
The ship will be in Papua New Guinea in March. And my best friend who live there, already got a BIG warning from me...that she MUST go!
