Remember I wanted to do some "workout" just to toned up? At the end, I know my self best, I won't make it at the gym ( tried that before) because , there are a lot my excuses not to go ( weather, schedules, timing etc) . So far I like the idea of working out at home. And I got some tips to search the PILATES video on youtube.
And so far, I love it. I've just been doing this for over a week , And I did it gradually . And I found it to be wonderful.
So here are some of my favorite pilates videos that I do alternately ( still building my stamina and resistance and I don't want to injure my back )
My personal fave is the 10 min abs workout and the butt and arms workouts!
If only I can get a treadmill for my house!!!
No more running biz..But still living my life. Full time SAHM,and a homeschool mamma now. Try to blend it together without losing my sanity in the city they called The Pearl of the Orient.

Photoshops : Blessing or Cursing?
The controversy of the week , look at this photo of Twiggy below as the face of Olay. She is 59 years of former Supermodel.
Another hot topic is from SELF cover magazine of Kelly Clarkson

And this is how she looked just a few days before the magazine hit the new stand.

And remember my old post about Kim Kardashian's photos ?
While photoshopping is a great way for digital imaging industry, I wonder , does it got more harm that good ? I am all agree when it is used to enhanced the background , make the photo more stand out, and special , like these ( taken from benny's blog):

But how if the technology is used to create the perfect image , and to create unrealistic figure and made many of us feel bad about ourself (specially teenagers) and more mature women are dying to have more and more plastic surgeries to look younger and younger like the celebrities .
There goes the many cases of bulimic and anorexic , many are cases are even taking the life of the young ones.
What is the limit ? And where to draw the lines? For me as long as the " correction " is not too much , that should be fine and as long as they don't use it to sell "certain" image or products with the photoshoped images.
And I wonder , how does it feel to the celebs ( like Kelly Clarkson here) to see that her body has been "corrected" or " airbrushed" but she knows that is not the real her. And what kind of message will be send out to the fans out there?
And I wonder how real is these photos ( and many other photos from the slimming centres). Can you really trust the before and after picture in this digital era? I am sure Christy Chung has reclaimed her figure back. But how much? As much as the photo below? Or do you think the digital technology had something to do with it? ( beside the hours of profesional hair and make up)

Photoshop is an art, I love to learn it myself just for my personal fun. I want to see how will I "look" to be perfect. To have the high nose, defined cheek bones, fuller lips. Six packs abs? WOW.... it's a dream came true.
So ladies... if you have the bad hair day, bad skin day, bloated day, big pores, chubby chin, or just saw your not so good photos. Be happy. Well , we do not have special trainer, gourmet chef, nutritionist , personal stylist or a professional make up artist/hair stylist to help us getting ready or put a look together. And our photos are all un-touched and un-airbrushed!
If we had all of that, sure we can also look like the glam up celebs.
So we don't look bad after all !
Have a Fun-taboulus week!!!

So what? Go KIM!

Curves is back ! So if you have it then flaunt it ( even that if you don't have curve a.k.a skinnier woman!) As long as you feel good about your body then celebrate it. Check out Kim Kardashian's blog. I just read it this morning and love this entry.
It is an important message for us to share with our ( teenage)children that not all of the pictures we see in the magazine are real and Kim's statement is an inspiration. Body image's issue and eating disorder are very serious now a days.
If we don't love our body and our self then who will??
I am much more comfortable with my self now. I accepted my flaws , my art-less skill, my un-soothing singing voice for other, my drop dead awful hand writing. But who care?
I am happy being my self. And I love my body too. And because of that I am on the way to show it and to love it more. Not just for appearance to look slimmer, leaner, prettier but mostly for the sake of my health.
We are what we eat they said, and I think that is true. I am not in my 20's anymore , so sooner or later I must watch what I eat for my health and take a good care of my body and soul. My motto is : just don't over eat or over do in everything we want to do.
I am not saying that we can grow big and bigger and no need to take care of our body and health . YES we MUST ! But we all come in different sizes, and shapes. And we need to feel comfortable in our skin first then work it out. :)
And remember to make fun of our self once in a while, If we can't laugh at our self this time, how sad that would be?

P.S: it is very important to surround our self with people who love us for who we are! Our spouse, our children, family and friends! Encouraging and supporting people ARE different from Negatively Critical people!

So...we all got cellulite
I am never be so overly body conscious type of woman. Sometimes maybe...but I never pay too much attention of how my body should look like or want it to be perfect.
I was never be a slim stick person , and never will be. I know my curves mostly are not in the right place , and where I wish to be "chubbier" is getting "slimmer" now a days. And after 2 pregnancies ( each I gained 20 kg) I think it is human to have cellulite and stretch mark here and there. It is a motherhood trophy.
I was much much more chubbier in my teenage days. Being surrounded by all petite sisters, I was the Obelix of the family. :) And I am glad that I didn't have body image problem or suffer from low self esteem. It didn't make me a bulimic or anorexic person. I tried diet in my high school year but then I was thinking, for what??? So I don't have flat tummy, I got flabby arms, and bigger than a tree thigh....so what?
As I don't care much of my body image , so I think that is why I am not so critical also about other's people body. I know my imperfection, so if other's seem to have it as well....( again) so what?
My complexion is getting more and more far from perfect now. Bigger pores, fine lines, whiteheads. ...SO WHAT? I use make up , yes.... and that's it, the rest of the day I don't think of how my face will look like or what people gonna think about my face or my body.
I do try to eat properly, balanced diet, for the sake of my health . I stop to eat when I feel full, and eat when I am hungry. Just listen to my body's need.
Right now, I was not as heavy as before, in fact I was a tad bit slimmer compare to my post children body. I think nature is on my side. I am thanksful for that.
So for all the women...Let's celebrate our imperfection...... don't be so negative about everthing...we need to see world in the much more positive way.
Even KIM has cellulite and good for her that she got the privellage to had it photoshopped! Go KIM! She never said she got perfect body. So am I!!!!
Anyone want to edit my photos? for free? I would love that!
