Me and my hubby love movies. We have a huge collection of movies at home. From TV series like Friends ( we can both laugh very very loud), CSI , Lost, Sex and the city, Desperate housewives ( he watched it with me too sometimes), Heroes . To other box office movies.
He is great and know my movie taste, if he knows that he won't like the movie he will buy me the dvd ( or I go to cinema alone to watch it haha). He also love to bring Indy to the cinema if there is a movie that suitable for her. He took Indy to the HSM 3 movie without complaining at all ( to my surprise he said , I like it! It has a lot of nice songs! ;-d)
For us a perfect simple evening will be lovely when both of the kids are a sleep and then we can sit in front of the TV , Dim the light and maybe we have a couple of glasses of wine with a homemade popcorn watching a great movie on TV or dig up some old movie from our collection. That is the favorite thing for us to do if we don't have the mood to dress up and go out for dinner. He is just not a mall guy. He would rather be working than spending time in mall walking around without buying anything. For him it is a waste of time and energy. My solution : I go to mall my self during weekdays! Simple and problem solve! :-D.
As much as we want to spend time with out kids , we also don't want our marriage to suffer. We still want to have couple time without kids. A Sunday night dinner normally will do. Or even just a movie night at home with beer and left over pizza from lunch! The most important is to spend time together .
One of our favorite movies ( from MANY ) is The Moulin Rouge. We love the actors and the songs and the story. First my dh thought that he will hate it , since it is a musical songs. But at the end he admit that is a good movie.. And both Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman did a very good job in singing!
I put the songs in my mood songs list... and turn your speaker power !!!
( as I type this....I have the songs playing as guess what? My dh asked me to put the songs in his MP3 player! :-D I know he loves it!)

i think my DH will get so restless in the cinema..apalagi at home....better i watch alone or with my siblings.....but he'll sure bring DD to the cinema....so...thrice a year..if we manage to go back to Muar....he'll get me the pirated DVDs that i've missed earlier on...hehehhe....i sure would like to have the "US" time soon....hehehe....
i totally agree with you with the 'us' time Sandra, that is indeed a very much needed time to spend with your better half....

makcikkkkk i never know that u hv The Moulin Rouge CD at home!! If I know sureeeeeeeeee I watch with you in your hse during "US" time hahahahhahaa !!!!! Meor tak suka, but I likeeee!! as much as the Holiday! hihihi We both can watch Pirates of the Caribbean series and Transformers again and again only hahaha tak romatik langsung kannnn hihihi

THE HOLIDAY!!! I love that movie too. Love Jude Law. So sexy....and I love Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz.
