Yes I can be invisible and my daughters can too! Isn't it great!!
But the funny things is than we become invisible only when we want to cross the street.
I wish I can be invisible some other time as well but nope....it won't happen, it is only happen when we want to cross the street. I think I need to practice my super power right? It will be useful when I see someone rude , so I can be invisible and punch them in the tummy without getting caught.
But nope! As I told you, it ONLY happen when we want to cross the street! WEIRD!
I always walk with my 2 girls every morning to school. And we need to cross the road. I push the stroller with Maya, I carry Indy's backpack and Indy carry Maya's backpack. We need to cross near the around about. We couldn't walk to the zebra cross line as on the side of the road there is no side walk and as we suddenly become invisible , it is quite dangerous...
So I was realizing that the cars apparently can't see us. Since they won't stop they wont slow down and they just don't care. They keep going and going . We can stand there for 5 mins without moving an inch. And no one care to give us way to cross the street! Sometimes there are car that will some how stop and let us cross, I think those drivers must have a special power too ! THEY CAN SEE US!!! Oh how great!
Indy made a comment : why , the cars won't let us pass mama? Not like in Italy, They wait and let us cross all the time , right mama?
So I said : too bad dear...our invisible power only work here....not in Italy.
To make things not so good, I still haven't get those super power to read other people mind!
If I can master this, sure the crossing thing will be a bit easier ( considering that we are invisible)

Suddenly I saw that that car are actually turning to the other road.
DAMN! If I can read the driver's mind I will CROSS!!! I lost the chance to cross ! And must wait another long 5 minutes.
See what I mean? Here we need that power to read other people's mind! Because we never know when is the car gonna turn or change lane or going to park...since , here, most of the driver never use the sign when they want to turn. Or is it because all of the sign light doesn't work over here???
Only the DRIVER and GOD know when they will turn....no one else will know! They want keep it private I guess.
So you all KK drivers and pedestrian...you all need to have the power to read someone's mind.
And hope I can control my invisible power better. I WANT TO BE VISIBLE when I cross the street ( specially with children) and I WISH I CAN BE INVISIBLE some other time but not when I cross the street!

Haha..so kesian.. If here is already like this, I'm not sure with west M'sia..cause they always FAST.. my teacher told me once at KL, people drive around 180- 200km/j..so it's really scarry..that time I think visible or not is not important, important is you know to FLY..LOL
hmm actually not the matter of speed. But the matter of respecting others ( driver or pedestrian )
in Italy or Spore ( so far I can only use this 2 places to compare) they drive very fast. But when there are people ( specially woman bringing baby in the stroller and a kid in tow) they will stop and let us walk/cross no matter how fast they drive, of course I won't cross in the high way. but in the corner/zebra cross or in the slow lane, ALL of them will automatically stop.
When I thought that I am In KK, I wait and stand there, until they need to honk to remind me that I can go!! *MALU*
Even in KL, I am not sure if they will stop when people are crossing the streets, but at least they use SIGN when they want to turn ( or park or go in the house )
It is to respect the car behind you and to the people around you.
at least to let them know that I am turning... not just suddenly ZOOM...."hey i turned already!! SURPRISE??? get used to it, buddy!"
I think it when the traffics are moving fast but if people know how to drive and follow the road and traffic rules and regulation and respect other it will be less scary than a slower traffic but YOU NEED A SIXTH SENSE to know what is the car in front/beside/next to you want to do. ( is he turning? now? next junction? is he going to stop? now? or tomorrow?)
If you were with me when my dh drives. You can make a list of the Italian swearing and dirty words dictionary in an hours.

LOL...i used to be invisible too...when i was a pedestrian till i reach the age of 29..when i drove..still..i make sure i don't drive over a puddle of water near people...ish..how good to ride a bicycle then....hehehhe
I went to Brunei yonks ago and the drivers also stop at EVERY zebra crossing.
Malaysian drivers? The moment they see pedestrian cepat2 lagi they press the minyak.
Malaysian pedestrians? They konon-konon lari-lari when they are crossing the road. The moment they see the driver slows down to let them cross, they suddenly stop lari-lari and actually jalan lenggang-lenggang sampai they finish crossing! Aduiii bah these people, sama saja bongok.
Oh but yes, KL drivers do actually make use of their indicators, even at roundabouts. Those yang tidak guna indicators tu usually drivers from other states in the peninsular.
In KL it's normal to drive around 110-140kmh on the highways. Those who drive less than that on smooth highways and stay on the fast lane are really endangering other people's lives. Plus, there shouldnt be any pedestrians on highways. But on normal roads people don't speed la, it's almost impossible anyway, too many cars. I have stayed here for 11 years and so far I rarely have problem crossing roads.
I think my biggest scare in KL is those on motorcycles. In Malaysia, the law says that no matter whose fault it is, the driver will always be at fault if he knocks on motorcyclist, even pedestrian. The thing is, many (not all) motorcyclists dont even respect their own lives. They speed and weave in between cars.
Oh well, bottom line is, everybody should respect everybody else bah, don't care la whether drivers ka, motorcyclists ka, pedestrians ka. This basic thing pun mau kena ajar kah? So kesian kan.
haha ya Far, here when the driver saw there are people crossing, they go even faster. I keep wondering why?
is it like a hunter saw a deer , their natural instinct ?
Or is it just a human ego that think I am with car so my "rank" is higher those without car
I understand that most of the people in the morning need to rush since they need to arrive at work on time. But letting a few people to cross will not cost them 5 mins.

What I do sometimes to let us be VISIBLE is to ask Indy to lift up her hand and show her palm toward the driver, asking permission to pass. Because we really don't know if the driver will go faster or let us cross.
And some times....they can see the little girl showing her hand to let the driver know that we ask the permission to pass.
After that I ask Indy to show her thumb up to the driver.
They need to be teach about life and respecting other from a Kindergarten pupil apparently
Yeah, here the pedestrians cross the roads as if all the roads are zebra crossing (no choice as the road system is lousy too.. Not pedestrian friendly), and the drivers think that the road belongs to the wheels. I hate it too when we can only use our invisible powers as we wanted to cross the road... At my PIL's taman where we live, the drivers are just as bad.. they just cant see us! (I am talking about a small street along the neighbourhood). I would be a pedestrian version of ur dh, swearing away while walking on the road.. hahahaha! Just berhati-hati di jalan raya..
