Maya at Day Care

So you read it or heard it. And that is true , Maya Angela Rocco is now in the day care, am I crazy or lazy to take care of her? nope...
It is happened not by purpose actually.

Indiana's school is near by our school, it is on the walking distance , about 10 minutes. And Maya is so used to send her to school with me. From the time she was about 3 months old I took her along in the sling, to send her sis to school. She is already feel familiar with the school and teacher plus she knows that her big sis is there too.

So 2 weeks ago, I was just thinking , I want to let Maya see the class and mix around with the other children. The principal actually has mentioned that If I want I can let Maya play in the playground every morning before the bell ring , just to let Maya develop her social skill around other children.
So when I brought her there, she was so calm and curious about the class, the friends , the teacher, the toys, everything.... I was surprise to see her so calm and relax, and enjoy the whole new environment. So I was thinking, while the teacher took care of her, and Maya is ok with her, I went to talk to the principal, asking about how is Indy doing at school and asking about the day care program.

When I was about to left her, I called her, and smile and I said , " Mama go first and come back later , you stay with teacher, ok?" She was just looked back at me and smile....
HUH??

Then I went to talk to the principal and chit chatting a bit . And I went back to her class , take a peek inside, and the teacher give me a look and whisper: "she is ok here...do you want to leave her here? "
Me:"But I don't even bring her clothes, diapers, drinks, etc!"
Teacher :" you can ask her kakak to bring it over if you want:
Me: " hmm ok...I try to leave her here, she looks to enjoy it anyway!"

So I went home and prepare her diapers, drinks, clothes, wipes. And asked my maid to send it to school.

And I picked her about 11.30. The first 3 days of course I picked her early. She was still on the trial basis the first week. And I saw that she is great there.
She follow the teacher, eat together with friends, brush her teeth, wash her hands before and after meal.

Now is her second week already. And she is the high spirit every morning. She can put on her own shoes ( wrong side of course!) and grab my hand and say:" Mama come....come Mama, go mama....."

Her schedule is
8 am: Arriving at the class room and having breakfast
8.30 : Outdoor activity and sport
9.00 : Go back to the class, to have either: story time, singing and rhymes, art and craft
10.00: Milk time. Each kids must bring their own milk and milk bottle
10.30: Play and rest
11.00: Lunch time
11.30: waiting for Mama to come....

The good thing about Tuna Sari preschool and Daycare center is they teacher teach the children to be potty train. I am so amazed with this, while other daycare refuse to accept kids that havent potty train yet, but this day care even voluntary offer me: do you want us to potty train her now?
Tuna Sari been around for 21 years. It is a friendly school, the premises doesn't look new and modern, but it has a great home feeling and the teacher and principal are great.

The first time I brought Indy there 2 years ago I just like it and feel like I send my girl to the right school. And I think Maya also feel the same :-D

Here are my girls in the morning before school....
She was so excited to go to see her teacher and friends
So far she is very attached to her teacher, Teacher Lin. This was when I dropped her at school
Before the class start. This was a mixed group , not only for Maya's age group. They are just waiting and playing for the bell to ring. Some kids are still crying when the parents left them.
Maya looked quiet here
Maya however, she is still abit reserve when there are too many parents or other teachers around her. But by the time the class start she acts good :)
