Again Be positive people.... look at the glass half full instead of half empty!
Instead of looking for every flaws in every thing ( there comes the wrinkles! and welcome the Botox expenditure!!) Why can't we be a bit supportive?
For the sake of " Global Awareness" ? For the sake of " Experience" ?
For the sake of " Unity" Or if you have children, it can teach them to save on electricity too and I am sure my kids will think this is some kind of adventure for them.
Publicity or Politic, Irony or Agony.... Can we just...for once....just take a glimpse of the positive out come of this event?
What is wrong with that?
The world is full of other horrifying stuffs, so why one hour of darkness can make some people be so sarcastic? What can you do then do help global warming? Can you purchase a green car locally? Can you buy organic meat easily? Can you buy organic cotton clothing in every single stores? Do you recycle your stuffs? Do you walk in your neighborhood instead of driving?
Not yet ?
If you are not satisfied with things , how about you organize some kind of Global Event about global warming that can involve 50 millions people to unity to make it happen?
Will it be as easy to spill out the words?
Again..... oranges and apples some people like it some people don't....
But can we think it as a positive way?
IF it is for publicity.... I think it is a good one.... What's harm the publicity of EARTH HOUR can done to the community?
Publicity to create the awareness not to waste energy? I can live with that kind of publicity I think!
Peace on you!
Earth Hour might get things going
IN response to Marcus’ comments “Earth Hour is a mere publicity stunt” (The Star, March 25), I would like to point out that we should not be quick to discount such efforts, especially not at the global scale that it is taking place, from Rome all the way to Christchurch.
What started as a city’s effort to take a stand against global warming has now taken on a worldwide phenomenon which is in itself an accomplishment in raising widespread awareness of the issue – global warming.
Yes, the effort may seem small to some people. After all, what is one hour out of the 365 days in a year? But we should view this as a start.
One person’s effort to save energy for one hour multiplied by the thousands that will participate in Earth Hour (thanks to the great media exposure) will inevitably equate to a large amount of energy saved, even if it is only for one hour.
After all, the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Let that single step be by turning off our lights this weekend for one hour.
Sit in quiet contemplation and enjoy the darkness. If it gets hot – as it does in our climate – go outside and look up into the sky.
When was the last time we actually took time to gaze at the stars and appreciate such a simple gift Mother Nature has given us? Maybe next month it will inspire us to consume our resources more consciously.

somebody said EH is just a publicity stunt??? Arrrrggghhhhh!! Some ppl are so ggggrrrrrr!! OMG!! i can't even describe how disappointed I am with this person...
For sure this type of pple definately excist.. Just ignore lah! No need to sakit hati... If you sakit hati means, what ever they did is successful... sooo.. just do what ever we should do..
(But feels not fair, we are doing all the good stuff and the benefits goes to all, even to the anti EH)...
Thank Ladies
I think we should be more realistic in life right?
sure we can dream to go to the moon
but it is all started in a single step.
And if this so called" publicity stunt" celebrities event" or " gimmick" how bad can it be?
I mean what is the harm to create the awareness for global warming, look at how many more people are aware of this, students, companies, government. So that is the point right?
To spread the words.
And very funny thing is.. YEAH right do car pool....
If you know how is the KK transport system works!
So that is EXACTLY why this is a good gesture.
People live in many different places, countries , different environment , so the SIMPLEST thing we can united to do something is just turn the light off for one hour!
Whether we live in biggest cities in the world like NY or LAS VEGAS, or in the small village some where in East Malaysia or even Africa, I think to simply turn your life ,every body can do that right?
If they asked to take public transport for that day
YEAH RIGHT! how many people can make it happen!
Good luck of you are in KK
must go 2 hours early to walk to the nearest bus stop and wait for the bus.
Do you think people WANT to DO that????
I will choose the simplest one
Just SWITCH OFF the light! :)

I vote for Earth :) However, wont be at home, going to KL.. putting up in a hotel for the next 5 nights.. still thinking how can I turn off the lights by then...?
I CAN'T wait to see the darkness this saturday heee hee...! Hubby will be outstation again, so I guess it's me and the kidz on the front lawn that nite..if my neighbours are into it too, gerenti we borak2 out on our street :)
Totally agree with you. Great opinions on the Earth Hour on your blog. And thank you for tagging my opinion posted to The Star on your blog. I am touched.
