The Journey part 1

Finally we are back here in KK. It's been a great trip overall and we got mixture of feelings when we were back. Part of us feel glad to be home and part of us feel lonely in KK, with no relatives and family around us. And with such a limited activities to do over here.

Ok so here is the story of our journey to our 2008 family reunion in Torino / Turin.

We traveled by MAS this time, and of course we need to have a transit in KLIA. Then take another flight from KLIA to ROME ( Leonardo Da vinci and Fiuminco Airport), and take another flight from Rome to Torino ( Caselle Airport).
MAS do not fly to Milano, that will be a better option for us, since Torino is nearer to Milano.( about 150 km)

Anyway.....

We left home at 5. pm , did the check in and everything without any trouble.
The flight was delayed 30 mins or so...so we left KK at 8.00 pm. and reached KLIA at 10.30 pm or so. Maya was a sleep during the short flight.

So we need to wait for the connection flight to Rome and it was DELAYED again..... sigh....
We are worry for our connection flight from Rome to Torino, because we only got 1 and a half hours to do the flight connection in Rome. So there were a big chance we might lost our flight in Rome because the flight from KLIA was delayed.


During the flight from KL to Rome, Indy and Maya slept almost all the way, it took off at 00.30 am, and it took about 12 hours to reached Rome .

We landed in Leonardo da Vinci airport at 6.20 am local time ( 12.20 pm, M'sia time). I was so tired because I COULD never sleep in the airplane , no matter what. So long journey like this always make me tired.( so a YSL touch e clat /face brightener, especially for under the eyes, is a saver to temporary hide those panda eyes ! That is the vain part of me speaking by the way :) )
When we arrived , the ground staff of the airport had been waiting for us, with our name on the board ( ROCCO, IRAWAN) and we are rushed to the connected Domestic airport , Fiumicino Airport.

Maya , Finally slept after running and running in the Fiumicino Airport.

Finally we arrived in the counter where we need to get our new boarding pass, and they said , we actually can get into the 7 am flight to Torino, but..... they said, the travel agent in Malaysia ( meaning our travel agent in KK ), had made the booking for : Sandra , Nikolay and Maya in the 7 am flight , and Indiana at the 12 noon flight.
VERY SMART!
I don't have anything to say to the travel agent in KK. beside that they are not professional at all. This is the first time we are using this BIG travel agent actually. And they made a BIG mistake as well.......
So.....the only option we got was to choose the later flight and as usual , it was delayed AGAIN
and left Rome at 2.30 pm.....imagine ...we arrived at 6.30 am and waited until 2.30 pm and we reached my MIL's house nearly to 5 pm. And the next day is the wedding day of my brother in law.

Finally arrived in Torino, Her Uncle gave her flowers, isn't sweet?

And of course for Maya too!

Nice journey huh?
The kids didn't have much jet lag. They adjusted pretty much instantly. So that was good....

So do you think our journey is bad? wait until you read our Journey to go back to KK.....
it was even longer and many many more delayed flight and unfriendly weather.

So that's why this tired lady, desperately need an extra time to rest and start her online store on the 15th of June ( as schedule and as I predicted , as I knew , to travel half a globe with 2 young kids will never be easy and I need time to rest, unpacked, settle my family back to home, and to replied those mountain of emails, and settled all the orders that placed during my time off, Thanks again for your supports , even while I am not around, and thanks to Mimi who has done a GREAT job with all the orders, and yes... I am still monitoring your orders and communicating with Mimi while I was in Italy, well tried to do more , like replying emails but too bad, time was limited )
