The totally unplanned day

When I planned something...some how.... somewhat ...sometimes it is a hard thing to do. Specially if the plan involve more than one mom and a couple or more of kids ( and toddlers).

I always like some thing spontaneous. So when me and her chat....both of us were bored. And then we just ended up with
"so"
"you want or not"
"K la...."
"See you in 30 mins"
................................
......................................
..............................................

Then I prepared the things I need to bring, change, getting ready, prepared the kids. Then ZOOM out...

The result:

About 2 hours in the indoor playground.

Having drinks and cookies from The DOME
( ih no photos...forget la)

And Dinner at The Mediterranean, Tg Aru First Beach ( where my dh works)

Canape and bread as starters

Spaghetti Aglio Olio for me
Fettuccine with chicken and mushroom in cream sauce for M

Pizza turkey ham and mushroom for the kids and we take away the margherita pizza
and got Chantilly Warm Chocolate cakes as dessert and one glass of wine for each of us ( I took red , Unds took white) OK mah only a glass each since got promo :)

Not a shabby result for the 5 mins of planning huh???

And we plan to do again soon... if you want to join...SIGN UP!!! hehehehe
Seriously KK mommies.....when we can gather again? this time in this playground will be good. We can sit on the side and catching up.... ( READ AS: CEL, DEANA, BOTH OF JOYCE, TANYA, BONNIE, CHARISH, NEL, SUNITA ( HEY WE MUST MEET UP BEFORE U MOVE AAAH),YANTI, who else ya?
New mommies want to join?

One thing I forgot that time...to up date my status in FB. To tell that I am at 1B playground at the moment. So who knows if you were some where there, u can just drop by? Next time ah.....
We must use the best of the techonolgy kan.... hehhee.

Which remind me of other funny story:
When we were looking for a friend's home boutique ( me , bonnie and charish) , we couldn't find the place and guess what I've been there before...hehehe then we turned here there.... we were lost!!!
until the lady must pick us up some where around there. Then Charish shouted at me :
EH!! you ada GPS kan???? Why u didnt use it aaah???
Me with blank face : ooooooh yaaa.....Lupaaaa laaaa......( slap head)
muahahahahahahhaahha..........
So she said : Ada mobile glamor pun useless!!!!
hihihihi.......

Take Care.....makciks!!!

When you invite people

"I think that when you invite people to your home, you invite them to yourself."
~Oprah~

I ( or should I said we ) like to invite people to our house. Just to have a chat, drink tea or coffee ( Italian coffee, instant or Indonesian Kampong style coffee) or Barbecue-ing or complete dinner and wine or just a crash dinner or lunch where I didn't prepare anything but just happened on the spot : " oh, why don't you just have dinner here? we tapao something or see what can I prepare...simple one only oooh...."

Yes it happened a lot at my place. Somehow when 2 or more women are chitchat-ing time pass very fast. Often we passed our children bath time, bed time, feeding time or whatever time...they might need.

But as busy moms we are women too and need to mingle around. I must admit I can't be the type of housewives that only stay at home and doing domestic works. Thank God for Facebook and other Virtual social networking , as well of course blogging. It keep me updated even though I am juggling to be domestic goddess ( far from it) , mom-preneur ( still struggling), and a perfect mom ( ehm.... perfect mom doesn't really exist ,ok? :-D)

How ever I like to have friends gathering from time to time. But I got limited place and energy to do it. But I like to have company at home sometimes. Even with a last minute notice via sms or call ( Sandra , I go there now ah? u at home? or after I do my errand I drop there ah, can?) If I am at home and free of course my reply will be : ok come laa.....:-D

And to read the Quote from Oprah it makes me think , is it true?

when you invite people to your home, you invite them to yourself.

Hmmm....Yes I think so. When you are around other people in your own place, you let them see the true you. They can judge your house, your life style, your clothing, your house interior or decor, your car(s), your cleanness, messiness, freaky-ness, your good or bad taste , etc....

So you will be like an open book for some people....

Well, I am open :) I don't have much too hide. For those who've been in my place , what you see is what you get. Bad or Good. I am like that .... If you come in a good time , my house might be neat and tidy , in the bad time it will be a perfect mess, Worst time when I have my PMS I migth forget to serve you with drinks hehehe.... but I know those who came here , they can help them selves. But if you come in the really wrong time I might don't have anything to serve you with, so plain water with instant noodle will do? :-D

Have a nice weekend!!!!

Jewelry ?

I m not good at art thingy , and I didn't know why I listened to her, and tried to make a few pcs of jewelry about a year ago? NO! Longer than that... I think 1.5 year ago.

Since I talked about a new blogger fella , I remember about it and took the pics. heheh

I never made any ever since....WAIT...I did made one for my MIL before we went to Italy las year. hehehe It was a pink svaroski pearls necklace plain one so just put the pearls in and I asked the store to show me how to do the hooks hihi) and i bought earrings sets. And I bought a few ready made for my SILs heehhehe...

I don't have the patience to make things like this, and the first time Taty taught me , I feel like I want to stuffed the pearl to her nose. She kept saying, see you can do it, it is easy and nice thing to do ( YEAH FOR YOU!!! For me I can't wait to get it over with ) I was finding a lot of excuses to take a break from the jewelry lesson. ( like offering coffee, have snacks etc..but failed!)

But I must admit , it was not too bad at the end. I like the result, but I wont make any of it alone!!!
I need someone to help me and to support me. (so TET, when you will be back in KK? hehe)

These are those that I made.( My dh saw it and he likes that I can "make" jewelry hehe, he asked me to gave him one,h e gave it as present to an elderly lady that he knows ) He also told her SIL and MIL proudly that : Sandra can makes a few jewelries now. ( and me thinking: oooh pleaseeee.......)

Earings ( svaroski crystal) and the necklace is from pearls
My favorite bracelets ( svaroski crystals and pearls), the other one I made is GREEN COLOR ( my dh gave to his friend)
Black pearls necklace ( tet we made or bought that?)
Svaroski crystals and pearls bracelets
Dangling Red svaroski crystal
Pearls necklace ( not the round pearls but this one is the "cacat" pearls. I think it is very unique)
And svaroski earing. ( hard to make for my skils, must twist here twist there....)

But who knows, if we gonna live in Italy I can "make" some and sell it over there? I know the price is high in Italy heheheheh

How Do I Love my Husband

Mama Wawa tagged me this. I think something to do with Valentines day? I m not good at this so I must think hard :what do i love from my husband? Sound so terrible? hahahaa
I hope my dh won't read this , it will make his head so big.....

So here we go..... ( tahan nafas)

I love him for his sense of humor

He might not be the most sensitive/romantic man on the planet but I love the way he shows his love by action and not by words only. We are not the couple who called each other dear, darling , honey or love or amore or cara/o we just called each other names. But we show respect and understanding .

I love the way he treats our b'day, anniversary , our kids b'day, valentines day, Christmas day very seriously at least we go out for simple dinner ( or celebrate our kids' b'day) or exchange small presents.

I love the way he trusts me in everything I do( except driving now :p actually he also let me drive if I dare too. But no license yet hihi)
and he also support me in everything thing I believe in ( be it breastfeeding, cloth diapering, open my e store or now that I m learning more in to home schooling ) In fact I know he talked about the benefit of breastfeeding and cloth diapering to his friends :-D plus he added : if you want to know more you can ask my wife...she is very good at breastfeeding. (kekekekeke)

And let me still be my self ( as long as it is "decent" things to do but for clothing as long as I don't show too much cleavage and put super mini micro skirt will be fine :-D) This also mean he understand that I m hooked to the internet/computer and checking emails using my mobile .

I love and respect his hardworking manners

I love the way he manage our financial things

I love he always like to bring us to travel even though that means a lot of headache to travel with two young kids.

I love the way he plays with our kids

I love that he is not a chauvinist man

I love that he can cook and doesn't mind to help me during house chorse if he needed too
that including changing baby diapers, bath them , feed them etc

I love that he always put family first above everything else.

I love he gives me my independent as individual so I can still do the things that I love and hang out with my girlfriends

I love his humbleness and stay down to earth . If you think he is a snob expat or thinks that he is "different" just because he is white , you get the wrong person. He is a simple guy that doesn't mind to eat at kopitiam, having beer there, going out with his staffs be it Malay or Chinese, Kadazan, or any race and religion.

And I love the way he respects my family and my back ground. And always welcoming my family to come to stay with us. He doesn't mind if my parents or aunty wants to stay with me for a few months or longer. My parents and sisters love him for his craziness too :p

I love they way that he involves me in big decision about his job/career. We discuss a lot and we always find the best way for both of us and the girls. ( He is not shy to tell his friend/colleagues /boss that he must ask permission /advice/talk first to his wife about it) It makes me feel that I am important and he does care about me and his family.

I love that he likes to put perfume ( he wears it more than me hehee)

I love that he supports my hobby, be it blogging, facebook-ing, chatting, bento-ing, pedicuring, buying magazines, jalan jalan-ing, window shopping, online shopping ( with the warning look to me : dont spend too much..... hehehe)

I love that he allows me to try new things ( if it is possitive ) like taking cupcakes class hahahaa....

I love that he can accepts my flaws and all. I am far from a perfect house wife and mom. That's include my clumsiness, bad in art n craft, lack of patience etc etc . I m full of flaws and I am not shy to admit it because I know he can accept it ( Pasrah I think....hahaha)

Last but not least:

I love him because he is just a simple guy
and me is just a simple girl.....:p

Hey this tag is not so hard after all.....
after almost 10 years of marriage and know each other for about more than 11 years I still can list my husband positive side so I hope it's a good sign..

I think this is a good tag. Made me respect and think about my dh 's positive traits .
Thanks, Bonnie!

Ok wait until I got the tag what do I hate about my husband???? hahahahah
do you think there will be a tag like that?
wah as wives we all can make a full list of that ooh.....
(e.g I hate when my dh never hang his towel back , never put his socks back, left his mobile phone in the taxi...etc etc etc etc.....kekkkekekek)

Opps almost forget
This one is for you , ladies:
Si Lebah Sibuk ( hahaha the first on my list)
Madame Pascaud ( I know your love story is amazing and your dh is a wonderful man)
Cath J ( share your story, please...hehehe)
Makcik Cel ( kepo kepo kepo....hehee)
Deana ( We know you love to bake n decorate cakes but want to know how you love your dh eheheh)

Chinese Astrology 2009 .. - You may like to read yours :)

I got this from a friend via email. And I thought some of you might want to read just for fun or not for fun....

it is all up to you! :-D, Enjoy!!..

There is a famous legend behind the
Chinese Astrology that says that once upon a time the Jade Emperor arranged an animal swimming race to measure time. The first twelve animals that completed the race were Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Ram, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig. As a prize, they all got a year each named after them.

According to another legend, Buddha once invited all the animals in the world for a New Year celebration, but only twelve animals turned up. Buddha then rewarded them by naming a year each after them. Moreover, these years follow in the order the animals arrived for the New Year celebration.
Let's take a look at each animal, their major personality traits and what the prospects are for
2009, the Year of the Ox.

The Rat

Rats are charming, elegant and clever. They can be a bit gossipy and prone to being distracted. They're also thrifty and very good with handling money. Family and close friends are exceptionally important to them. The Rat is charming beyond words and throughout his undoubtedly long life he will always be popular and will have many friends.
Forecast for 2009
- 2009 will be an encouraging and positive year but the Rat will need to keep his eye on the world around him in order to avoid unnecessary pressures. Training and learning new skills in their careers will ensure financial security over the coming months and increased self-confidence. On the home front, this will be an excellent year for the Rat with at least one happy family occasion and if they can manage it, an enjoyable family holiday. Romantically, this is the year to make great progress whether to meet someone new or take things to a new level with a special partner. May to September will be very favorable for socialising with September to December being important career-wise.

The Ox

Sturdy, earthy, no-nonsense – that's the Ox. Affectionate and easy-going, the Ox can show a fierce temper when agitated. He is neat, tidy, quiet and studious, with a great love of his home. Music can be a great love. Family life and a loving partner are high on the Ox's priorities. A wonderful loyal friend.
Forecast for 2009
- The Ox sees overall improvements in his situation during his own year in 2009... The main area of enjoyment will be the interaction with others, either with friends and family or on a more romantic level. A key phrase to bear in mind this year is 'hold fast'. There may be setbacks and delays in the general run of life, but keep calm and persist and all will be well. There will be an opportunity to study and learn (in common with other signs this year) which should appeal to the Ox and there will be a huge sense of pride with what is achieved. Between May and July there are significant developments on the work front, in particular important talks with a boss or superior, while September to November sees very interesting and delightful romantic encounters!

The Tiger

Magnetic, passionate and grand! When the Tiger does anything, it's noticed! Indecisiveness and stubbornness can mar the sparkle of the Tiger personality. On the one hand generous, on the other hand a little mean, it's sometimes hard to know where one stands with the Tiger. Flexible, honest and truly entertaining, one has a friend for life with a Tiger.
Forecast for 2009
- 2009 will be a challenging year for the Tiger, but it definitely lays the foundation for 2010 which is his own year. Discipline, concentration and focus will be of paramount importance to the Tiger this year. Keeping their eye on the end goal and dreams will stand to them throughout the year. Financial issues must be addressed seriously and spending should be done wisely. Romantically February to July could be very exciting but discretion must be used! The end of the year, November and December, will present excellent career opportunities for those Tigers ready to move up the job ladder.

The Rabbit

Cuddly, warm and affectionate are the attributes of the Rabbit. Mysterious and a great party-giver and host, the Rabbit enjoys being the centre of attention once in a while. The Rabbit is occasionally over cautious and can be a bit boring. He is also one of the luckiest signs in the Chinese Astrology chart.
Forecast for 2009
- Slow and steady – this is how 2009 will progress for most Rabbits. Travel will also feature prominently in between a busy social life and an increased workload at their job. Friends and family mean the world to the Rabbit and their support and love this year will be especially important. Single Rabbits will likely meet a potential partner in a social situation and all will find that August and September sparkle romantically! Careerwise, November is the best month to put themselves forward for a well-earned promotion or payrise. Artistic Rabbits could be approached regarding an exciting new project.

The Dragon

Assertive, energetic and talented are all words to describe the Dragon personality. On the other hand, the Dragon has a tendency to be condescending and tactless without realising it. They generally enjoy robust health and tend to be very successful in anything they turn their hand to.
Forecast for 2009
- Most Dragons will have an increase in income during 2009 which will be very welcome. They will be strong and focused in pursuing their objectives for the year. Dragons should take their time and appreciate any valuable advice they are given. Time should be made to enjoy hobbies and fun activities. Gossip could feature strongly during the year and all Dragons should take care not to indulge in idle chit chat lest in backfires on them! Socially, May to August will be a fun time with many Dragons taking their romances more seriously. March and April will bring intriguing job offers for those seeking a change in direction.

The Snake

Intelligent and highly intuitive are two of the Snake's many fine qualities. He makes an amusing and romantic friend with a definite flirtatious streak. When challenged or criticized he can be a sore loser. The Snake is very lucky with money and is fond of the odd bet or two. He is quick-witted and enjoys reading, music and occasionally the paranormal side of life.
Forecast for 2009
- For the Snake, 2009 will be quite fast-paced and demanding and they will need to remain flexible and positive to enjoy it. Romance features strongly and for the single Snake, this could be the year to start a serious relationship. Financially, impulse buys should be kept under control and risks should be minimized. 2009 will be an excellent year for self-discovery and reviewing recreational interests and hobbies. April to June will present great social opportunities and new friendships. October and November will shine on the work front.

The Horse

Fun, charming and attractive sums up the Horse's traits perfectly. They love parties and crowds and being the centre of attention. They can also be egotistical, hotheaded and impatient. The Horse is a considerate and protective friend and partner and when in his company, there will always be excitement around the next corner.
Forecast for 2009
- 2009 will see the Horse making excellent progress in whatever area of his life he chooses. Finances will feature in a positive way as well with a possible increase in income. They should take care, however, to manage their money wisely and make plans. Balance needs to be maintained between work time and leisurely pursuits in order to stay healthy and centered. The Horse will have a tendency to overdo things this year. January to March will be fortuitous for changing jobs while April and December will favor romantic pursuits – for those attached, these months could bring news of an engagement!

The Goat

Graceful and optimistic, kind and easy going, would describe a Goat personality. They can also be petulant and discontented, likely to throw the towel in at the beginning of a problem. They can be charming without revealing their true feelings. The Goat is very talented and imaginative and can turn his hand to most creative pursuits.
Forecast for 2009
- The Goat need not feel on his own in 2009 as there will be much support and friendship to help him in this busy year. With so much going on in all areas of his life, the Goat would do well to plan ahead and take his time in making decisions. Money-wise, the Goat needs to curb his enthusiasm for spending and exercise some self-discipline or problems may arise later! July to September will present many social events and possibilities for love and romance. Short trips and travel are well inspected in August and October for all Goats.

The Monkey

The Monkey is playful, lively, fun and a quick thinker. They get bored very easily and find it hard to settle down to doing any one thing. The Monkey can also be vain and offhand. They are ambitious and usually very good with investing money. With their quick wit and wonderful sense of humour, they are a great party guest. The Monkey's life will never be dull and predictable!
Forecast for 2009
- The Monkey's fine creative streak can be put to excellent use in 2009 if he concentrates on one task at a time rather than attempting many projects at once. With keeping so busy, the Monkey needs to watch his own health and allow adequate time for work, rest and fun. On the home front, there may be celebrations and happy family gatherings throughout the year. The Monkey's love life will shine also with many getting engaged or meeting someone very special. March to July will be particularly busy socially. November will be an excellent time for work-related promotions or recognition.

The Rooster

The Rooster is always popular, extravagant and creative. They can be brutally honest and generally like being showered with attention. They are wonderfully loyal friends and also give advice freely – whether they are asked for it or not! Family means the world to the Rooster and they are fiercely loyal to those they care about.
Forecast for 2009 -
2009 will run along the themes of enthusiasm, planning and determination, all of which suit the Rooster perfectly! At home and with family, life will run much smoother and will be a source of happiness and security for all Roosters... Money matters are well starred also this year with either a pay rise, a surprise bonus or both! Hobbies and travelling look prominent as well, with pleasant pursuits greatly enjoyed during the year. July to September will favor career moves and travel is highlighted towards October.

The Dog

The Dog is wonderfully hard worker, a perfectionist and someone who loves the small details. He is also a bit anti-social, pessimistic and stubborn. They are one of the most honest and loyal signs of the Chinese zodiac and will always go to bat for a worthy cause. The Dog is a fantastic listener and his advice is usually very intuitive.
Forecast for 2009
- The Dog will find a busier social life and more friends during 2009. This will be a challenging year on the work front, but Dogs should take a deep breath, be patient and remain steadfast. Solid foundations are being built for the very favorable Year of the Tiger in 2010. Travel will be particularly enjoyable and home life will be very special in 2009. October to December will be very interesting regarding new job opportunities. May and November will see romance beautifully highlighted with many happy social get-togethers.

The Pig

The Pig is an innocent, sweet and lovable personality. They can also be quite melancholy and over-sensitive. The Pig loves the company of others, and adores parties, gossip and chit chat. They are highly intelligent, but prefer to keep this side of their nature under wraps. The Pig does not care that much for money, but is one of the zodiac signs that is very lucky.
Forecast for 2009
- 2009 should prove to be a lucky and encouraging year for all Pigs. Interesting offers and chance meetings can occur at any time of the year and the Pig needs to be alert and aware for any lucky breaks. With such a hectic year, it's important for the Pig to make time for fun and relaxation and travel may be one way to do this. It's also an excellent year to review his diet and fitness regime, as he needs to be in top form for such an active schedule. April to July will bring happy times for love and relationships, while August and September bring interesting offers on the work front, particularly in relation to publishing and writing.

A true friend

A true friend is not who wants to ride with you in your limousine but who is willing to walk with you when your limo broke down.

-Oprah-

Don't take friends for granted but cherish them all . And you will find a true and meaningful friendship not just based on how long you've been friends but how much of quality times that you spent together.

I've met a few people in my life for not a very long time but we have great connection and bonding too.

To loose a friend is an easy task. To gain one is much more harder.

Cheers to all of my dears friends where ever you are. You will know who you are in your heart!

Indoor Playground

If you are living in big city this might be just a typical playground for you.
But for me this is the first time I found a indoor playground that is clean , new and got a toilet in children's size in KK ( sorry If there are other nice places also, but I never been to any of it, if you know some other places please let me know).

Definitely will bring my kids there again, probably will arrange with other moms inf any of you are interested to have a outing playdate ? ( I never do this here in KK so far but I thought it will be fun for moms to bring our kids to go out together )

I often feel that is un fair to Maya , as Indy born and grew up in much bigger city , her childhood includes more activities than her younger sis does. Indy join toddler gym class, went to outdoor and indoor playground, involve in many event from Easter's party, Christmas Dinner, Charity lunches , Thanksgiving lunch, Halloween party even children cooking class and much more.

While Maya is more homey type, and not much activities around her, this is why I choose to put her in daycare , at least she can play and meet some friends, do some fun things at school. Since not much we can do here .

As you can see from the pictures , the place is quite spacious. It is located in One Borneo 2nd floor. Got the balls pools, slides, mini cars and rides, gyms for bigger kids to climb, swings and inflatables bouncy castle where Maya and Indy practicing their somersault without mommy yelleing becareful of your head.

The price is RM 6 for kids and RM 3 for adult and Maya go in for free. We went there before 11 am so it was still empty, while I think on Sunday it will be full and it will be hard for the younger toddler to play around as the bigger kids are more rough.

I like to observed the children in the playground . And try not to interfere when I don't have too.
Like when they want to have the same toys/cars/bikes/ride/swings/balls etc. I 'd like to see how my girls ( specially Maya at this age) cope with it. Some kids can be rude and rough.

I knew one thing though, that even though at home the sisters are not the best friends ( yet) and often fight for the same toys , outside they feel their bonding more. When a boy didn't let Maya play with one for the car, Indy can help her lil sis and protect her. As well as Maya , when she say the car was empty, she yelled to call her sis...."INDYYYYYY...THEREEEEEE ...GOT CAAAAAR......TAKEEEEEEEE!!!!"

The big Gym can be scary to kids below 3.But it is a dream come true for bigger kids. Indy always loves this kind of playground.
There is a small inflatable place down on the 1st floor game arcade with 4-5 bouncy castles ( I took Indy there once ), and on the LG there will be another playground also ( Kid's Kingdom I think?) . Which I think is a good thing .

This is not a paid post. Since I always want to have more activities option for my kids and think that some of the moms ( or dads or aunts or uncles or grandparents) out there would like to know if there is a new place for their children to visit.
