I heard about this quite sometimes ago. And when we were in Singapore we also wanted to try but time was not on our side (plus who gonna take care of the kids?). So when I heard that we can found the Fish Spa here in KK I am totally gonna try it.
Located in 1Borneo. So the plan is to go there to have lunch , and we also asked our maid to come along , after lunch we dropped them in the Playground. While me and hubby went to the Fish Spa . 20 mins for RM 28 ( promo price).
It was VERY ticklish for the first few minutes. And I kept laughing out loud. And My dh has a really sensitive feet, so he doesn't like anything touching his feet so the idea or many fish nibbling on his feet was not his best option.
He wanted to backed off and take the feet reflexology instead. But I made him stay . :)
Anyway after a few minutes the tingly feeling got better. And it was fun. I want to do it again.
The result:
I like it! My rough skin become smooth, also my dh's feet is smoother. But not so even. The fish this time concentrate more on the bottom of my feet and calves, but not so much at the heel .
Also if the skin is very thick I dont think the fish can get rid of it by one "meal". So that's why I want to go back and do again ( and will drag my dh to do again)
After Fish Spa we also had the 40 mins of reflexology. It was pain but bearable. Long time since my last Reflexology. And it feels good!
Anyway the fish is called GARRA RUFA originally from Turkey , middle east. And they feet our the dead skin of our feet ( or body ) And we just arrived the staff just put the fish into the "tank" . So from that I've guessed that our feet were their breakfast.

Which ones were your feet? The bulu ones? LOL
Besides the fish spa center, here we also have the open concept one. RM5 for 10 minutes. But won't be good if there are many people la because the fish won't be able to concentrate so much and there are just to many 'meals' to choose from. So the fish spa is a better and healthier option to go to since they usually ask you to wash your kaki first before dipping in the water. Oh, ada yang offer body fish spa lagi!! Eewww geli geli geli!
If you mandi in sungai or at the island where there are lots of fish and just stay still, you'll get the same service too, all over the body some more. It's just so ticklish!
I always wanted to find opportunity to do this as well.. here, you can find them a lot (Open area at shopping mall)..but I don't dare to put my leg in there...coz water was quite yellowish already.. lol..
I did this in KL in Sompuoton Fish Spa at Merchant Square (Tropicana)in Damansara. It was indeed very ticklish initially!! My colleague and I were giggling and screaming to our heart content esp during the first half hour hehehe...interesting experince though haha..
